Dr. McCarty is a husband and a father of two. He teaches Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of South Alabama. He seeks to teach through cooperative experience with students. He researches ways to apply creativity to counseling theory and practice, with a primary focus on the creative application of Adlerian theory. He desires to serve his community through working with people recovering from addiction.
